Your Neighborhood Plumber — Right on Bandera Road
Our office at 9355 Bandera Rd. sits just north of the Leon Valley city limits, on the same road that runs through the heart of your city. When you call us for a plumbing issue in Leon Valley, we're not coming from across town — we're already on your street.
That matters more than it might sound. Leon Valley homes have their own quirks: most of the original housing stock was built from the mid-1960s through the 1980s, which means we see a lot of aging galvanized supply lines, cast iron drain lines reaching the end of their service life, and water heaters that have outlived every warranty they ever had. Nearly 50 years working this area means we recognize the patterns fast.
Leon Valley also has a split water supply that trips up homeowners all the time. About two-thirds of the city is served by the Leon Valley Water System (pumped from two Edwards Aquifer wells), and roughly one-third — especially in the Forest Oaks area — is served by SAWS. Both are hard Edwards Aquifer water. Neither is bad water, but both are rough on water heaters, fixtures, and appliances over time. If you've ever wondered why your showerhead gets crusty or your dishwasher gives up early, that's why.

Water Heaters
LEON VALLEY NOTE
Hard Edwards Aquifer water shortens tank water heater life in this area. We install and repair both tank and tankless systems, and can tell you on the phone whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

LEON VALLEY NOTE
Edwards Aquifer water tests hard throughout Leon Valley — on both LVWS and SAWS. A water softener is one of the highest-return upgrades you can make to a Leon Valley home.
Learn more →De-Chlorinator Systems
LEON VALLEY NOTE
Leon Valley chlorinates at each well site; SAWS also chlorinates. A de-chlorinator removes that chlorine before it strips skin, hair, and water softener resin beads — extending softener life by years.

LEON VALLEY NOTE
Older Leon Valley homes often have PRVs that failed quietly years ago. High incoming pressure shortens fixture life and damages fill valves. We test, replace, and set PRVs to the right range.

LEON VALLEY NOTE
Leon Valley's older homes often have cast iron drain lines and mature trees with roots that find their way in. We clear clogs, run camera inspections, and diagnose whether a line needs cleaning or replacement.

Unexpected water bill spike? Wet spot in the yard that won't dry? We use electronic leak detection to find underground leaks without digging up your lawn first.

Leon Valley Plumbing FAQs
How fast can you get to my home in Leon Valley?
Our office is on Bandera Rd. just north of the Leon Valley city limits. In light traffic, we can reach most Leon Valley homes in about 10 minutes. During business hours we book same-day service for most non-emergency calls. For after-hours emergencies, leave a message at 210-758-6237 and we'll call you back.
Do you serve all of Leon Valley, or only certain areas?
We serve the full city of Leon Valley — Forest Oaks, the neighborhoods off Huebner Rd., Evers Rd., Grissom Rd., and everything between Loop 410 and Loop 1604 along Bandera. If you're inside the Leon Valley city limits, we'll come to you.
Is Leon Valley on SAWS or its own water system?
Both. About two-thirds of Leon Valley homes are on the Leon Valley Water System (pumped from two Edwards Aquifer wells). About one-third — especially in the Forest Oaks area — are on SAWS. Your water bill will tell you which one. It matters for a few things: Leon Valley Water does not add fluoride, SAWS does; both chlorinate; and both are hard Edwards Aquifer water, so a water softener makes sense on either system.
Why does my water heater keep failing in Leon Valley?
Hard Edwards Aquifer water is rough on tank water heaters — the mineral buildup (mostly calcium) accumulates at the bottom of the tank and insulates the burner, shortening the heater's life. Annual flushing helps, but in homes without a water softener, we commonly see tank heaters fail 3–5 years earlier than rated. If yours is on its second or third round of trouble, replacement is usually the better call than another repair. We'll tell you honestly which one makes sense over the phone.
My water bill spiked suddenly — is that a leak?
Probably yes. The most common causes of a sudden bill spike are a failed toilet fill valve (often the biggest offender), an underground yard line leak, or a slab leak. Before you call, check your water meter with everything in the house turned off — if the meter is still moving, you have a leak. Then call us and we'll locate it.
Do you offer phone quotes for Leon Valley service calls?
Yes, for most services we can give you a price over the phone. Water heater replacements, water softener installs, de-chlorinator systems, and standard drain cleaning calls all usually fit this — as long as you can tell us the basics (what kind of unit you have, how many bathrooms, etc.). Some jobs — like yard leaks or unknown drain issues — need a visit to diagnose before we can quote.
Do you give discounts to seniors, military, teachers, or first responders?
Yes — 10% off service for seniors, active-duty and veteran military, K-12 and college teachers, and first responders (police, fire, EMS). Just mention it when you call.
